Evaluation: How does your media product represent particular social groups?

The way we have written our script is very sterotypical for teenagers. Teenagers often fight over boys and we also included this into our radio drama. We found the drama alright to write because we had aimed Listen at teenagers we just wrote about what we would want to listen to and just added a bit of drama into it. All the characters are using their own voices because they are teenagers anyway so this just made it easier. We tried to display the characters Roxy and Belle to be quite up themselves and make people think that they were quite bitchy. We tried to make Max out to be really evil but also innocent when he was talking to Belle. This made the audeince hate his character which is what we wanted to achieve.

Male and Females were also other social groups which were displayed within our drama. Throught the script males were proven to be a lot more dominant. For example...

Roxy: ' Why are you doing this to me? What have I done to deserve this?'
Max: ' I just know that you like me Roxy, don't deny it..'
Roxy: ' I dont like you..I hate you! Get away from me!!'
Max: ' I will find you!'

This extract shows that Max is being really forceful and powerful as he trys to undermine Roxy. Despite Roxt telling Max that she hates him, she can be seen as weak and scared.
