Radio Drama as a form

Radio is something that you can't see so obviously you have to use your imagination a lot whilst listening to it. In order to create a good picture for the audience, radio drama's have to contain a lot of description. Things such as scenery, time, place, characters images and clothes all have to be imagined and with a really good descriptive drama this often becomes quite easy.
By definition "Radio Drama is a form of audio storytelling broadcast on radio. With no visual component radio drama depends on dialogue, music and sound effects to help the listener imagine the story."
Forms of radio drama can include opera; which is a dramatic art form, Pantomime; which follows in the tradition of fables and folk tales and Creative drama; which refers to dramatic activities and games used primarily in educational settings with children.
